BRAIN plans youth bike feature for October print issue

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Bicycle Retailer & Industry News’ editorial staff is preparing a feature on upcoming season youth bikes and related products for our October magazine. The multi-page feature will include photos and reporting about business and product trends for the 2020 season. The feature will provide retailers with an overview of options and trends during the preseason ordering period.

“The youth bike market is as diverse as other segments: while some figures indicate an overall slump in kids’ participation in bike riding, others point to growth in specific areas, like urban BMX, higher-end road and mountain bikes, and balance bikes. We’ll take a look at all types of youth bikes and talk to retailers and suppliers about the trends they are seeing,” said Steve Frothingham, BRAIN’s editor.

In the coming weeks BRAIN’s staff will be gathering photos of youth bikes, apparel and accessories. Brands that would like to be included can contact Frothingham at sfrothingham@bicycleretailer.com. Please be prepared to share high-resolution photos by Sept. 13 if you’d like to be included. There is no charge or advertising expectation to be included.
